What is the difference between the Veterinary Line, Pet Owner, and Crate Line?

All of the beds are waterproof and use the same interior bed. The only differences are in the dimensions of the bed and the type and quantity of covers that come with each kit:

• Veterinary Kits: One bed, two covers. Uses Taslan material that is easy to care for, lightweight to launder, and wipe down, ideal for high turnover in clinics.
• Pet Owner Kits: One bed, one plush quilted cover, and a carry case.
• Crate Line: Same Taslan material as Veterinary Kits. Includes one cover and a carry case, great for travel!

Does Komfy K9 hold up against chewing?

We think our secret is that the Komfy K9 bed doesn't look or smell like an oversized dog toy. Most large dog beds are made with the same materials as dog toys, it's confusing for their senses. We use different materials that don’t invite chewing. In the rare case your dog does chew a corner, we offer easy patch kits!

Note: The bed will not deflate due to the foam inside, but it will no longer be waterproof until patched.

How do I unpack and set up my Komfy K9 bed?

1. After unpacking the mat, remove the straps. Do not unroll, Komfy K9 is self-inflating.
2. Remove the stopper from the fill valve and let the mat fill automatically. Do not use a pump.
3. Let it inflate for 24 hours with the valve open.
4. Once fully inflated, push the stopper into the valve.
5. Push the valve inward so it sits flush with the mat.
6. Tuck in the pull flap so it doesn’t stick out.
7. Pull on the cover one corner at a time like a fitted sheet.

How do I wash and dry my Komfy K9 cover?

Our covers are made from high-quality, durable fabric and can be washed in hot water on a regular cycle. While they can tolerate high dryer heat, we recommend using a low heat setting or hang drying to extend the life of the fabric. The water-resistant material dries quickly.

What should I use to wipe down my bed?

After removing the soiled cover, you can wipe down the waterproof mat with any disinfectant. The material is durable enough to handle even mild bleach solutions. Be sure the valve is fully closed to prevent water from entering the interior foam. Rinse with clean water if needed.

Can I place a heat pack that is too big for the therapy pocket directly on the PVC bed, under the cover?

Yes as long as the heat source is under 120°F. Most clinical heat packs stay below 90°F and are safe to place directly on the PVC bed.

Is there a warranty on Komfy K9 beds?

We proudly guarantee the quality of our materials and workmanship. All Komfy K9 beds are covered for life against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by dogs.

Can I get the Veterinary Bedding Cover in custom colors for our clinic?

Will Komfy K9 fit my kennels and runs?

Yes! Our current sizes are designed to fit most standard wall units and runs, including those from VSSI and Shoreline.

• Large: 45" x 28" x 3"
• Intermediate: 23" x 28" x 3"
• Medium: 28" x 28" x 3"
• Small: 18" x 28" x 3"

How do I roll up and reinflate my bed for travel?

To travel with your Komfy K9 bed:

1. Open the air valve and pull it completely out of the bed.
2. On a flat surface, start at the opposite end of the valve and slowly roll the bed to expel air.
3. Use the included black straps to secure both ends.
4. Slide the rolled-up bed into the carry case — you’re ready to go!
5. To reinflate, remove the bed from the case and open the valve. It will self-inflate within seconds. Add the cover and you're ready for use.
